Jazz Festival held at Mogol Club on 13 August 2016.

Social Media was flooded with complaints from residents in the area.

Why is a By law against this kind of noise pollution not allowed?

On 13 August 2016 a Jazz Festival was held at Mogol Club. The music was deafening to residents in the area.

As the Mogol Club is also situated close to an old age home and hospital the community feel that it was inappropriate to have the function going on till 04h00 in the morning of 14 August 2016.

Social media was flooded with complaints of residents, among these complaints was the deafening sound of the music, windows rattling because of the loud noise and residents could not have a good nights rest because of the loud noise.

Residents feel that their human rights were not considered when the decision was made to have the function and that it was also uncontrolled because it was allowed to carry on right through the night.

Residents agree that there should be a reasonable cut off time for these types of functions.
