There is a law in Spain which allows a Developer and the Town Hall to collaborate to take land from house holders to build on, not because it is necessary for the success of the project, such as a roundabout, but to increase the Town Halls financial gain and the Developers profit.
As well as taking the land, they can take all your land and demolish your house, for little or no compensation, they require you to contribute 10s of thousands of euros to their infastructure costs.
We and three of our neighbours are currently subject to "Land Grab" where the Developer we bought from has plans approved to build an urbanisation around us taking over 50% of our gardens.
We have consulted numerous lawyers only to be told "its the law".
We are petitioning Snr Blanco to take action against Town Halls who actively encourage Developers and approve plans which involves taking house holders gardens with no public interest or benefit apparent and completely overhaul these land laws which are not fit for purpose.
