Many academic brilliant candidates could not find their place in the elite Indian services since they could not clear their final interviews. The interviews put the candidate at the mercy of the selection board. The talent of the candidate has already been proved as he has already cleared the examination for the post.

Whatever maybe the qualification of the candidate or he might have cleared the exam for the selection of the post; still the person is at the mercy of the selection of the board, who may or may not be of the calibre to judge the candidate. The selection may be result of any other reason than the merits of the candidate.
In the interest of the country and for the benefit of the meritorious candidates, it is highly recommended that the selection by the interview process should be stopped and a process for selection to be evolved where there will be equal opportunity for all and only merits not the candidates is taken into account.
