Gaswell fracking is not under jurisdiction of the Environmental Protection Agency and state agencies are not able to enforce proper guidelines due to the large influx of companies and wells. They are not required to keep records of amounts of chemicals used in the fracking process.
They just recently were forced to identify a few and most were highly toxic. New York halted drilling around public water supplies. Greers Ferry Lake supplies much of central Arkansas's water.
We, the undersigned, call on our government to halt all gaswell fracking until an accurate assessment has been made and a safety plan including hazardous material data that can be readily examined by proper authorities. That standard which is upheld by every other facet of industry.
