Over 100 people today had to witness the death of an innocent life at Laidley sales. Management has proven to be irresponsible concerning this matter.
Today (27/02/2016) a foal has died a slow and painful death at Laidley Horse Sales due to lack of care shown by management towards these horses.
This helpless foal was first ran through a loud and scary sale ring to go to the highest bidder, later being aggressively ripped away from his mother, in this process hitting his head on iron bars causing instant brain damage and physical wounds.... but instead of covering the injured foal and putting him out of excruciating pain he was left to suffer for what he would of felt like eternity to him, with onlookers watching, some of which including children having to see this innocent body laying in agony.
After thirty or so minutes of suffering instead of waiting for a vet to arrive to put him out of pain humanely a knife was taken to the foals throat and sliced, onlookers watching.
Please help us get justice for the foal whose innocent life was taken away too early due to lack of care shown by management.
Help us get management reformed so more things like this will not continue to happen.
