There is no reason for big cats to be bred and born in the United States. The big cats need homes that measure in acres, not in square feet. No zoo, sanctuary nor private owner is equipped to properly provide a home to animals that were designed to roam up to 400 square miles.

I would support laws that make it illegal to breed, trap or import big cats for life in a cage. Big cats are defined herein as: Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Jaguars, Snow Leopards, Cougars, Clouded Leopards, and all of their hybrids and subspecies.

I would support laws that make such breeding a felony with fines exceeding $25,000.00.
