Background (Preamble):
Stone Temple Pilots are an American rock band that ran from the early 1990's thru to 2003, and now have announced a reunion tour- slated for the summer of 2008 at Rock on the Range in Ohio, USA. No other performances have been scheduled thus far.
The band consists of Scott Weiland (vocals), brothers Robert (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion).
The band's five albums (Core, Purple, Tiny Music.... From the Vatican Gift Shop, No.4 and Shangri La Dee Da) have sold over over 30 million albums worldwide.
In 2003, the band released the greatest hits compilation 'Thank You'.
Stone Temple Pilots have been one of the core bands to influence musicians today, and Australia should not be missed out on a prospective world tour.
