This petition is regarding standardized testing for students across the board.
I've been researching the testing that is given to children in each grade level. I've found that testing has been unfair to the students. Students are graded in areas that aren't relevant in what's being taught in school. These grades are then used against students to see if they are on grade level. Now can anyone judge what the grade level of a student is by testing them on information that isn't taught in class?
The test results should be accurate and fair for all students.
We, the students of Rocky River High School, call on the board of education to refrain from the standardized test that has been given to students over the years. These tests are unfair students.
Testing should be based on what we are taught in our school year and not what the board deems we should know within the school year.
