We the residents of S. Longview Rd,Howell, NJ would like some traffic control on our residential street.
The cars use this as an alternative to Route 9 to go to the businesses such as Target, Lowes,and Stop and Shop. The vehicles are going well above the 25 mph speed limit, with some cars doing over 50 mph.
The people that are using this road are showing no regard for human or animal life or the law, they use cell phones throw there cigarette butts and trash out on the road and disregard the no thought way sign and the 25 MPH speed limit and an alternative to route to Rt 9!
We already had an accident on this street where both vehicles had to be towed away, what if there was a child or pedestrian on this street at that time. There is already a no through way sign but obviously this is not being observed with the amount of traffic that is on this street. The Traffic has already been documented at over 3000+ cars and trucks daily!
We the residents of South Longview Road, Howell, NJ are asking that the entrance to the WindMill Club be closed on our street. This is a residential road but it is being used as a major highway at our expense and our children's expense.
If this can not be closed than another alternative so we can have a safe street where our children can cross the street to get on the school bus without being hit by a car. This is a major problem that we feel needs to be addressed ASAP.
