Solve The Nursing Crisis

Background (Preamble):
The Hospitals are in melt down, not only are they short of beds, but they are desperately short of staff.
Since training has been taken out of the hands of the hospitals & placed in the hands of the Universities, we see third year students working on check out counters in an effort to earn money to pay the University fees, & the nurses are poorly trained in hands on nursing through no fault of their own.

Petition:
We the undersigned strongly suggest that to relieve the crisis due to the lack of nursing staff in our hospitals, the student nurses return to spend six months of their training in the hospital wards and six months in the university, thereby giving the nurses valuable hands on training and ensuring them appropriate employment.
