It is evident that the case of Rodney King, Eric Garner, and Walter Scott all had one thing in common. The acts of the police officer(s) were not justified in the eyes of the public and these unjustly acts were captured on video.
Body cameras have proven to decrease police brutality and citizen complaints.
Therefore, it is time the citizens of this society, regardless of race, present a proposal that police officers be mandated to wear body cameras while on duty.
We, the undersigned, call on Congress to mandate that all police officers wear body cameras as a part of their uniform while on duty.
