William Ayers and Barack Obama lived in the same neighborhood in the city of Chicago, and both had worked on education reform in the state of Illinois. The two met "at a luncheon meeting about school reform." Obama was named to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Project Board of Directors to oversee the distribution of grants in Chicago. Later in 1995, Ayers hosted "a coming out party" for "Mr. Obama's first run for office.

William Ayer's participated in the bombings of several public monuments, including the New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the US Capitol Building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972.

He was a leading member of a radical, leftist terrorist organization called the Weatherman. He spent a short period of time in jail after turning himself in for these crimes in 1980. An unrepentant terrorist whose case was dismissed based on a technicality is a current professor at the University of Chicago. After his trial he stated "guilty as hell and free as a bird".

After the 9/11/01 attack, Mr. Ayers stated that his only regret about the bombings in the '70s was that he didn't do enough. In this interview he is photographed while stomping on a USA flag.

We the American People ask Senator Barack Obama to sign this petition and advocate the University of Chicago's termination of employment of the unrepentant terrorist college professor William Ayers, who publicly states his lack of repent of the horrific bombings of the Pentagon, the U.S. Capital and Police Stations across America.

William Ayers stated in a recent interview, "I just feel that we didn't do enough". The American people will not tolerate employment of unrepentant terrorists in our Academia.
