Say no to travellers in Shoeburyness

We the undersigned, call on the Government, Southend Borough Council and the East of England Regional Assembley to ensure that Shoeburyness will not be forced to have permanent travellers pitches.

We reject the Independent Party candidate for Shoeburyness Ward's view that travellers are an oppressed minority and that travellers sites should be situated on Gunners Park.

We do not agree with the Liberal Democrats that there is a requirement for travellers sites in the town or with Labour that we should have permanent pitches on Shoebury's award winning parks.
