Petition Background (Preamble):
As part of a new housing development, South Kesteven District Council Planning Department and Lincolnshire County Council Highways Department propose to put 5 way Traffic lights on Godsey Lane at the junction of the new housing estate, John Eve Way and Tesco.
This will cause a long period of disruption during the installation. Once installed it will disrupt the current free flow of traffic on one of the main thoroughfares in Market Deeping and will also result in the partial withdrawl of the Delaine 102 bus service - not just during installation but permanently after the installation. Delaines have already proposed the route reduction.
Say NO to traffic lights here. They are unnecessary and unwanted.
