Saving the Pit Bulls and their mixes!

My petition is to help prevent the ban from banning Pit Bulls and their mixes from being permanently banned from being in Huron County.
I myself own a Pit/mix, named Mya, and I'm mostly fighting this for her. I know some people who own either purebred Pit Bulls, or who own a Pit Bull mix. I know that they'd feel threatened if they were to find out that they'd have to rehome their dog. I'm trying to fight to prevent the breeds from having to be banned, because I know ho difficult it will be to have to find that "perfect home" for a beloved pet.
The breed(s) are not a vicious and dangerous breed to have around families, even ones with kids, if they're raised in the right enviroment. I feel like there should be a ban on the people who are trying to raise them to fight, who are trying to teach them that being harmful towards other people and animals is the right way of life. Make sure that every person in all of Huron County who owns either/or get ahold of the proper authorities, and then be given some form of a lie-detector, so that they -- as the authorities -- know who's the ones allowable to keep their Pit Bull(s) or their Pit Bull(s)/mixes within Huron County.
This is a fight to help the citizens living within Huron County to keep their pet -- THEIR PET! -- in their current home, and current county. This shouldn't have to come down to a fight over whatever the right breed of the dog, but a fight to be able to keep our family-and-kid-friendly dogs in their current homes!
