Some race horses are as young as 2 years old and hurt themselves trying to run. Eight Belles was a race horse, 3 years of age, and broke her ankles while running. Eight Belles barley got a chance at life. 3 years is too young!
Racing any horse younger than 5 years old should be illegal.
Please sign this petition to have a rule in the horse racing business that all race horses must be 5 or older.
A lot of races horses of 2-4 years of age have died racing.
Give them at least 5 years to live their life before they risk it for the trainer/riders' sakes.
