Save the Victoria Recreation Ground

Background (Preamble):
The Victorian Recreation Ground has been a focal point in Canterbury and surrounding areas in Kent. This site was given to the people of Canterbury By Queen Victoria I for public access. It has been propesed that this ground is leased to a leisure facility who endevour to charge for the tennis courts. Children's play facilities and Pavillion to raise money for the upkeep. Public access will remain but other areas that were once free of charge would need to be paid for.
Petition:
We the undersigned state that we do not want the Victoria Recreation ground leased to Canterbury High School as this would limit access to the facilities that , to present day have been free of charge.
