This former hostelry was built prior to the Revolutionary war. It was built by Nehemiah Higbie and kept in the Higbie family for several generations. The adjacent thoroughfare running North/South bears this family's name.

The inn used to serve as a stopping point for stage coach riders passing through West Islip. Later it became a restaurant and catering hall. For a while it was vacant, but in 2010 it was reopened only to become vacant again 2 years later.

Revive this establishment so future generations can have happy memories for many years to come.

We petition the Owners of the LaGrange Inn (Dennis Garren, Scott DiDonna, David Rousso, Rick Olivieri) as well as Islip Town Supervisor Tom Croci.

Save the Historic LaGrange Inn in West Islip.
