Residents have branded a cull of Canada Geese 'barbaric' after they were woken early in the morning by the sound of gunfire in a neighbourhood park.
Rugeley-based Wildlife Management Services have been contracted by Stoke-on-Trent City Council to cull the geese.

Petition:
I oppose the shooting of geese in Longton and other local parks and call on Stoke City Council to use recognised humane methods such as egg removal or egg-addling to curb bird populations.
