The Street Traders in Station Street Burton have been in place since the 1980s. There are currently 5 successful small business' operating on the street.
The Council has cut the number of pitches available to 3 - and is opening up bidding for those 3 pitches to traders from elsewhere, and have explicitly advertised the pitches in the Leicester Murcury.
The Petition has been set up in order to tell ESBC that the people of Burton want the current traders to be guaranteed a place under the new scheme, and any new traders should have new pitches created for them.
We the undersigned hereby petition East Staffordshire Borough Council to allow all current street traders in Station Street Burton to retain their 'pitches' and for any new traders to be assigned new ones.
