I support the efforts of the Rosalie College Community to keep alive the historic boys’ school situated at Marist College Rosalie. As an inclusive and affordable school with a long tradition of providing quality education it plays a vital role in Brisbane’s Catholic education reflecting the true Christian ethos.
As part of the local landscape for 77 years the school has become an integral part of the local community worthy of preservation on its landmark site. With current local projects and the push for affordable inner city residential development, the provision of vital community infrastructure in the form of a school is essential.
I endorse the case for the school’s future viability on this site and I recommend your urgent consideration of the Rosalie College Community plans to save the school.
