We are a group of concerned MMR neighbors that are starting a petition to ask our HOA to reevaluate the construction of Pickle ball courts at the volleyball site at Paradise Lane Park.
- The process was rushed without adequate information to MMR members or prior examination of the viability of the project;
- This will incur significant cost to all members, both initial cost and maintenance.
- Existing structures (volleyball court) will be destroyed.
- If built, permanent damages may occur (noise, potential drop in property value, reduced family space); all the turf and trees around the volleyball court will be removed and replaced with concrete slabs-permanently changing the openness of our park.
- The game is already being played on existing tennis courts and additional courts are not necessary.
We, the undersigned, call on the HOA of McDowell Mountain ranch to reconsider the plan of converting the Volleyball court and surrounding turf at Paradise Lane Park to pickle ball courts.
