We have been informed that our local Post Office will be closed by the Government, and all post will be processed by another office many miles away. The post office is well supported, and serves the needs of a great many residents in the area.
The government has already shut down our local Police station, and moved the staff to the same village many miles away. It does appear that Vamos is being stripped of all it's local services.
We, the undersigned strongly object to the proposed closure of Vamos Post Office Agency. This is a well supported local facility which replaced the previous Post Office, closed by yourselves. This is totally unacceptable, especially following the closure of our local police station recently.
We shall hold demonstrations should you take this course of action.
