We have quite a fight ahead. We need your help to save the Chatham Borough Memorial Park Pool. While the official word is that no decision has been made, there apparently are plans designed showing construction of a parking lot where our treasured Pool now stands.
Money has already been obtained that can be used to make needed repairs to the pool. With the current membership, it cost the average household about $9.00/year to operate the pool. Once improvements are made and suggested expanded activities implemented this amount is bound to be reduced or eliminated with more pool membership and usage.
A vote by the Borough Council is scheduled for July 12, 2010. We only have a short time to act. The pool is an historic treasure that children and adults enjoy. Please sign the petition if you support the Memorial Park Pool for the residents of Chatham, NJ.
