Save Lake Elizabeth (Polluted & Dangerous)

Lake Elizabeth has become a very polluted, dangerous lake. Every year it is known for being very smelly, along with the water being extremely murky. Now there are baby trout, DEAD, all along the shore.

There are dead frogs, and the ducks are few in number this year. Plants are dying and the lake is getting lower and lower in water level. The Natural Spring has been blocked off by sediment so the water became stagnant and polluted. Mosquitoes lay their eggs in stagnant water, creating a high risk for West Nile Virus to spread to the wildlife, and then endanger our families. The only way the lake gets fresh water is from rainfall, which is not a very promising source.

Many people fish there, including my neighbors and colleagues. This is a very big health hazard, since fish are dying in huge numbers, and water is greatly polluted. I will not even let my family fish there because of all the pollution. Algae has completely taken over the lake, a bright red flag for an unhealthy lake. No one swims in the lake anymore, it smells too horrid. Many people take their children and pets to the lake for a quiet afternoon.

We need a clean lake. The Facilities there are vile. There restrooms are completely destroyed, with no proper plumbing. Feces is abundant and has filled the entire toilet bowl. Lake Elizabeth needs serious help.
