Kiara is about 12k from the city in the Northern suburbs of Perth. Despite fourteen years of community opposition, Planning Minister John Day has approved the rezoning of 14ha of virgin bushland in Kiara for urban development.
The bushland is home to the threatened Carnaby's black cockatoos, rainbow bee-eaters, kangaroos and 150 species of flora.
Mr Day reached his decision despite expert advice the bushland and its wetland area were environmentally significant.
Please help us save the Kiara Bushland. WE are the people and WE have a voice, we must be heard.
The rezoning of Kiara Bushland must not happen.
