In a recent radio announcement it was stated that the Government were set to close the Dapto Respite Centre.
This would affect around 30 families in the Illawarra of children with disabilities.
CALLING FOR THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO CLOSE THE DAPTO RESPITE CENTRE
To the Legislative Assembly of NSW, we the undersigned believe the Government should not close the Dapto Respite Centre. It is an important facility for families who have children with disabilities.
These families struggle every day and closing the only centre in the Illawarra will not only impact the children who attend the facility but also the parent/carers of these children will be put under a lot more stress as a result of not having a place to send their children so they can get some much needed rest and recuperation.
