Cottingham Christmas lights switch on are having to be cancelled due to lack of funds to employ a team of stewards for the ever growing Christmas Lights. One of the largest light displays in East Yorkshire.
It would be such a shame to see this amazing display end and i believe we should try our best to ensure the light display continues for years to come.
It is a fantastic display that volunteers work hard all year long to ensure the display is the best possible. The lights will still be up but as it stands there will not be a switch on event.
Please sign up to this petition if you believe that the East Riding Council should offer to fund stewards for this amazing event that has been a tradition in the village many years round.
