Background (Preamble):
Conwy County Borough Council have finally decided to close the Conwy Civic Hall after several years of threatening to do so.
The Conwy Civic Hall has the only theatre auditorium in the county that has the right facilities to host medium to large scale events - both amateur and semi-professional - at an affordable price for community based performers.
Losing this auditorium space would be a huge blow to the local community of Conwy, and would impact on cultural life locally and further afield - especially for children and young people who are interested in being involved in the performance arts.

We the undersigned, demand that Conwy County Borough Council keep the Conwy Civic Hall auditorium open for the use of local groups for the benefit of the whole community.
