Background (Preamble):
The school has made improvements in all areas since it was put into special measures in January and these were reported in an interim inspection in July.
Once the school is out of special measures numbers will rise again and with the many new homes being built in the area it will be needed even more so. The children love their school and teachers and do not want to move to new schools .

Petition:
We the undersigned object to the proposed closure of Chineham Park Primary school.
Instead we would like to see the school given the support and backing from the relevant authorities, to make it a great school again. It has been for a long time and continues to be a valuable part of the community and would be a huge loss especially due to the 1000's of new homes currently being built in the area.
