California's deficit is now 24 to 30 billion dollars. Major cuts are proposed which involve closing state parks and cutting services to the poor, the sick and the elderly.
A "no new taxes" ideology is sending California over the cliff.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on Governor Schwarzenegger and the California Legislature to include tax and fee increases rather than just funding cuts in order to balance the California State budget.
The elderly, the poor, the sick and everyday citizens depend on it. It is the right thing to do.
