The State Board of Education has decided as a measure of financial intrest to restrict or decrease the bussing pick-up area(s) within 1.5 miles of city school(s).
The risk of illness/ injury appears to be disregarded by the State though lost days of attendence will decrease States funding and disrupt the child(s) education.
Our District recieves appprox. 75,000 gal.(s) of fuel per yr. x $4.00 = $300.000 and a total budget of approx. $44,000,000.00
The fuel budget to this city is claimed to be either (#17_06/07)1,560,233 @$384. per or (#52)1,756,040 @$440 per.
The $300k spent is nowhere close to the 1.5 mil. allowed for transporting our children.
