Due to a contract expiration on the current SA-GRN new tenders are been called and there is a high chance of the network going digital and encrypted, thus preventing and advanced early warning for residents who monitor the GRN, during fire danger season, for indications of fires in their area.
We are asking people to sign this petition, so it can be presented to the relevant government body(s) responsible for the decision of the new network standard, in a hope that it will not be a fully encrypted network. And so people in bushfire prone areas, can continue to have the early warning that may prevent loss of life and or property.
