Background (Preamble):
We need a Roller Skating Rink on the Gold Coast. Not only is this fantastic fun, it is a great way to exercise. Is is also a great outlet for our children and especially our teenagers who don't have a lot of places to socialize with their peers.
It will get them off the streets and into some good old fun and fitness. With obesity on the rise in our community this is a fun way fight the calories and brings families together as parents can join in on an old past time with their children and get fit too.

We, the undersigned, call on the Queensland government to help open a community Roller Skating Rink on the Gold Coast to help the youth with a safe place to socialize and help the obesity epidemic with a new and fun place to exercise.
