As big corporations grow, the common American seems be increasingly deduced to nickles and dimes. I have been a Loyal customer to Rite Aid for all my pharmacy needs. Over the past few years my family has been pushed away so many times through poor service and condescending employees, namely in the Pharmacy dept. But there is employee one who stands out among the rest! Mind you he is just one of many.

For now I'll just call him Complaint Cards Ect.(CCE) due to all the complaints from myself, friends, fellow co-workers, and strangers alike. Now instead trying another chain, we just try another location (five to be exact) we have even driven to neighboring towns, in order to stick with RITE AID. I know now that I have been a fool for continuing to remain loyal to such an organization. Maybe it is the Navy blood that runs through my veins. Or the fact that after serving four tours in Vietnam, I bear the pride of freedom and equality. And believe that all men are created equal, and should be treated as such.

With that being said the latest of grievances come from today’s experience. Of the five separate RITE AID stores I have gone in over the past couple of years there has always been one Tech that has stood out as the worst when it comes to dealing with people. But today was the last straw, I simply went in to use the bathroom and have a word with someone I love very much. While waiting I had to listen to “CCE” humiliate a Hispanic father in front of his family. But I just bit my tongue as finally realized, this would be the last time I would ever step foot in another RITE AID.

Still, I had a more important family matter pressing. And so that time was upon me. Finally she stepped away and our discussion began. But our time was limited. After a heartbreaking comment directed at my wife and myself, my words became less than kind. When he caught wind that she didn't like what I had to say, (mind you this was a private conversation away from customer view) the man came at me as if to take me down. I went into a defensive stance and warned him if he touches me, I would proceed to kick his ass. He began to yell "Call the Police! Call the Police!) When the store manager came to diffuse the situation, he kindly asked me to leave the store. We walked outside and talked briefly. I left.

I just couldn't shake it off. After years of forgiving the verbal abuses taken by “CCE” to myself, my wife, his workers, and complete strangers, I knew it was time to take action. So I decided to jump the chain of command and call corporate headquarters. I explained the situation with complete honesty. Later I was told they looked into the matter and that I was wrong and that their employees were completely within their codes of conduct. No empathy, no apology, just a big middle finger to the little guy once again.

I understand that personal matters shouldn't be taken into the workplace. This was my mistake. At the same time she should have not taken the time to talk such sensitive issues (break or not) We are both in the wrong for getting ugly with each other, work environment or not. BUT I feel that it was completly out of line for “CCE” to charge me at me when, he had nothing to do with the issue at hand. No one was in danger until he came after me. Do I not have a right to defend myself? I did not throw caution to the wind. I simply warned someone who was coming at me with eyes of malice? Do corporations care that they may lose valued customers, simply because they are unwilling to apologize, or rectify the problem. Or maybe it's because the admission of guilt could potentially lead to a losing lawsuit.

I was never looking to sue anyone. I just want to be heard! Regardless, RITE AID, you just lost me, my family, and my friends. Not that it matters to you. But I have no doubt that if you continue to treat customers like Dollar signs instead of Americans. Then it's only a matter of time before you go the way of the buffalo.
AMERICA DO YOU HEAR ME?

This is a Petition to simply get the attention of the Big Wigs in charge of making sure that their employees can deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

I would love to hear of all experiences, or altercations that made you feel belittled by these corporate giants. I seek only honesty. I know that my actions were inappropriate, but this just happened to be the straw that broke the Camel's back, after years of exiting the store with my blood boiling and never getting any satisfaction from Customer Service.

Please speak up and just maybe someone will hear us. We are not just profit margins!

We are Americans! Thank you!
