In October of 2006, a unanimous 12 member jury including the 3 alternates in Simi Valley California ruled in James Stevens' favor for a sexual harassment and wrongful termination lawsuit.
The judge stated on the record that he did not like their verdict but refused to give his reasons on the record!
Later, during a hearing for a new trial, the judge dismissed the jury's verdict altogether and imposed his own verdict.
We are requesting your signature in support of asking the United States Supreme Court to hear James Stevens case (Docket no. 09-7) that is waiting before the court.
This request is tantamount to requesting the court to reinstate every US citizen's 14th amendment right of a trial by a jury of your peers!
The Justices will decide on September 29, 2009 as to which cases are to be heard.
