The Laurels Homeowners Association

United States of America

LHOA Residents:

The Board of Directors has received complaints that political signs are
being publicly displayed at several lots in the Laurels, in violation of the
Covenants of the Association. Section K.10(f) states: “No signs of any kind
shall be displayed to the public view on any lot except (i) one (1) sign not
exceeding three (3) square feet advertising the property for sale or rent;
and, (ii) one (1) sign not exceeding one and one-half (1 1/2) square feet,
and not exceeding three feet (3') in height or length, which identifies the
residence .”

The Board recognizes that this political season has produced strong
feelings of support for, and opposition to political candidates. However,
violating the covenants, to which you agreed, is not an appropriate
mechanism for expressing your views. In the interest of neighborhood
harmony, we therefore respectfully request that any political signs on your
property be removed from public view.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The LHOA Board of Directors

As homeowners, we should have the right to temporarily display political signs on our own property regardless of the candidate we are supporting.

We can not allow the current LHOA Board to abuse their power to misinterpret the rules and guidelines we have set. Therefore, we must make Covenants of the Association. Section K.10(f) clear to THEM, as to what we want. Temporary political signs during campaign season should be allowed on our own land.

Also, if we are renovating our homes we should be allowed to temporarily display who is providing their services until the job is done. If you want to add these specifics to the rule book so the LHOA understands clearly, PLEASE SIGN!

Thank you, Linda & Milton Muldrow. 8933 Isle Of Laurels. Happy to help you in any way.
