Since PACE began managing the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Chicago Paratransit Service for the City of Chicago, the disabled of Chicago have had to deal with ineffective services and lack of representation on the board of directors.
WE MUST BE HEARD! The disabled of Chicago’s overall quality of life and well being always has and continues to be dependent on the paratransit system, yet our issues continue to not be addressed.
ISSUES
1. Inefficient zoning System for Chicago
2. Will call service not available.
3. Unaffordable fares for fixed incomes.
4. Monthly passes not available.
5. Location of Board meetings.
SOLUTIONS
1. Eliminate zoning, reinstate efficient routing in Chicago.
2. Reinstate will call service.
3. Affordable fares for disabled people on fixed incomes.
4. Reinstate monthly passes.
5. Have some of the Board meetings in Chicago.
