Please sign this petition to protect the health, safety and ecology in Freetown.
Petition:
We, the undersigned residents of Freetown and Berkley call on the Freetown Soil Conservation Board, Board, Board of Selectmen and Board of Health to safeguard the rural character of Assonet and protect the health, welfare and property of Freetown residents and Berkley abutters by hiring independent third party experts to conduct a hydrology test, a pump test, an Environmental Impact Study and traffic study before allowing CCA to proceed any further with their operation.
Experts should not be hired directly by or report directly to the quarry company to ensure impartiality.
