Background (Preamble):
On Friday, October 12th 2001, Clear Channel Radio, without warning or advance notification, pulled the plug on contemporary Christian radio station WZTO 101.1 FM and replaced it with a non-Christian urban hip-hop format under the call letters of WUBT. WZTO met a strong need in the Nashville area to minister to Christians age 25-40 through faith-based music and a message of hope. We hope through this petition to encourage Clear Channel Communications to restore WZTO-FM to the airwaves.

We, the undersigned, petition Clear Channel Communications, Inc. to restore WZTO-FM, Christian radio 101.1 "The One" to the airwaves and will make every effort to encourage local businesses to support the station with their advertising dollars.
