Exeter College's proposed plans to build at Sports hall and other teaching facilities immediately next to the railway running alongside Richmond Court.

According to the plans the building will be a similar size to the college building that already exists on the site, the usage of the site will therefore double, the need for parking shall increase, yet the number of parking spaces shall be reduced to make way for the new building.

As this proposed building is to be built right up against the railway line and will cover a sizable proportion of the existing site the building will appear very close to the premises at Richmond Court and Jubilee Court, blocking the light for many of the properties on ground and lower floors.

If this proposed plan goes ahead it is likely that there will be noise pollution caused by those using the sport hall and other facilities, as well as visitors who attend events such as games and matches within the hall.
