The residents of the condominiums Promenade at Main Street in Voorhees New Jersey are petitioning Voorhees Township construction office, according to building code 160 (unsafe buildings and structures), to order Brandywine Trust to address the dangerous and destructive bridge attaching our condos to the South Parking Garage.
This bridge not only provides an entrance to our residents it also bridges over the roadway leading to and from garage. This bridge is corroded and the stucco is loose posing a threat to traffic and has been blocked off for pedestrian use for eight months. The most important concern is the destruction to our residents homes and walkways.
The bridge is causing sinking and separation of the walkways and supporting posts. The Archway below the bridge is being supported "temporarily" by a a wooden header and two steel jacks. Brandywine has not offered a solution or a timeline.
We as residents of Voorhees feel it is time for this situation to be addressed by township officials.
We, the undersigned, call on Voorhees Township to resolve the dangerous and destructive South Garage Bridge in a safe and timely manner.
We purchased our homes with this bridge intact and want it repaired as well as the destruction caused by this unsafe bridge.
