The 6.0 earthquake that hit Napa damaged the downtown Safeway to a point of needing structural repairs. Per the cooperate office, it will not reopen. I don't believe cooperate has a clue what this will do to the local community.
This Safeway serves a senior living facility just across the street, it serves a vital downtown work force, it serves tourists, let alone it provides employment.
I am trying to get this petition going to get cooperate to rethink their decision, which I'm sure did not include surveying anyone in the local community, just the board members.
Help save our downtown Safeway!!!
We, the undersigned, hereby strongly oppose Alberston Cooperation's decision not to reopen the Downtown Napa Safeway (Clay Street).
Reopen this store as it is vital to our community.
