In a break with tradition, the renomination of New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice John Wallace, Jr. is being blocked by our Govenor. There are no complaints about Justice Wallace's record, and he would have to retire in 22 months when he reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70.

The renomination of Supreme Court Associate Justice John Wallace, Jr. would allow this judge to continue his life's work and retire with tenure. The Star-Ledger said that Wallace had "established a reputation as a rational, intelligent, practical justice who doesn’t make waves or headlines." Conversely, our governor's flagrant actions serve only to politicize the judiciary.
