A little over a year ago my cousin Kacie Palm committed suicide. We later found out that it was in part due to a Facebook Purge Page. I had never heard of this so I looked it up and found that it based on the movie The Purge. Kids are now making up Purge Pages and they use them to target their peers. They did this to Kacie.
They posted a photo of her and made sure that someone tagged her so she would see it. They will single out other kids for the express purpose of making fun of them. It is disgusting. They post semi-nude pictures of girls without their permission. The page usually gets deleted after 24 hours by whoever created it.
There is another Purge page happening right now in the very same city Kacie lived in. No matter how many times it has been reported, Facebook will not remove it.
We need to get any Purge pages removed from Facebook. No child should have to go through this. No family should have to bury their child because of some thoughtless kids who hide behind their screen. These pages are made anonymously.
I can't imagine at the age of 13/14 going onto the computer finding a nude photo of myself with several comments making fun of me.
Please help me to remove these pages from Facebook and show Facebook how serious this is.
