The Students' Union election was conducted this year at the University of East London, the election was free and fair. On the 18th of March the returning officer declared all results. The returning officer did not officially returned the position of the President due to minor complaints of the losing team.
After more than a Month, the students of the University are still waiting on the Returning officer to declare the results of the election. The returning officer has embarked upon an electoral review without any mandate from the Union executive.
The Students of the University have expressed their concerns over this delay.

We the Undersigned are Students of the University of East London, acknowledge that the Stuents' Union Election held in March 2010 was free and fair in all campuses. We used our RIGHT OF VOTE FREELY and without any kind of pressure or intimidation.
We are calling on the Returning officer to release the results so as to allow the newly executive officers excercise their mandates as reflected in the election results.
