Background (Preamble):
A Bill is under consideration in NSW Parliament which undermines the family values, discourages marriage which will ultimately overturn the marriage laws, to be replaced by Relationship Register across all states and territories of Australia.
Petition:
The Petition of certain citizens of New South Wales, brings to the attention of the Legislative Assembly that by creating a Relationships Register the Parliament:
• Discourages marriage in NSW, and therefore;
• Works against the common good of NSW and thereby Australia’s future;
• Complies with a well known incremental strategy, used to overturn marriage laws elsewhere in the world, to create so called ‘same sex marriage’ in Australia by use of relationships registers across all states and territories.
The undersigned petitioners therefore ask that the Parliament reject the proposed Relationships Register Bill 2010 and promote marriage for de facto heterosexual couples.
