Reinstate Rabbi Barry Block as Senior Rabbi

Due to a handful of Temple Beth-El members that are eager to oust Rabbi Barry Block, he has put in his resignation.

This is not a choice Rabbi Block is happy with. Rumors had been going around the congregation of his resignation, but the congregants were not openly informed of this. At the last board meeting on May 1,2012, a room full of members attended to speak to the board and show their support for Rabbi Block without the knowledge that the board would be voting on accepting his resignation in a closed board meeting directly after the open meeting. At this time the board voted to accept his resignation. The whole congregation were informed of their decision by email May 5th. The congregation did not have enough information to offer a voice before this decision was made. Rabbi Block does not want to leave his beloved Temple Beth - El , and the vast majority of the congregation do not want to lose our Rabbi Block.
Rabbi Block is a faithful advocate for social justice and diversity.

Temple Beth- El has grown beyond expectations under his direction, and will continue to grow with him as senior Rabbi. Please sign this petition asking the board of directors to reinstate Rabbi Barry Block.
