Reborn Gintama Project

Viz Media, is a company headquartered in San Francisco in charge of distributions of a large amount of anime, manga, and other forms of Japanese entertainment to English speaking nations. This has been their enterprise for business success, since their foundation in 1986.

Many of the manga they are in charge of distributing are series that take many volumes to complete the story of said manga series, and many consumers feel betrayed by the company due to the large investments they have made into the series only for them to be canceled and out of print at mid point. This renders the previous investment counterproductive as the reader can't continue the to read the series any legal way (though admitting their are illegal alternatives).

The purpose of this petition is not to rebel against business decisions made by Viz, as a business they have the right to operate how they like. it is believed that the reason for their decision of cancellation of these Manga series may be due to lack of support and sales but Viz has failed to deliver a proper statement as to the reason for the sudden cancellation.The excessive amount of illegal distribution for Gintama and Reborn! that fans have created though scanlations online is also a large contributor that probably helped them make their final decision.

This petition was made to raise awareness in the company that fans of canceled series Reborn! and Gintama, Shonen jump titles, are abundant enough to support business and willing to pay for legal printed copies.
