Target: Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Labor
Background (Preamble):
The National Union of Domestic Employees of Trinidad and Tobago is lobbying the PP Government to ratify C189 Domestic Workers Convention 2011.

The International Labor Organization ILO adopted this convention as the international employment standard for Domestic Workers.

This Convention protects the rights of low income and non represented employees. Delaying its ratification means that workers are not protected according to the stipulation of the ILO C189 Convention. It needs to be ratified by the PP Government immediately. This petition will be used to support NUDE lobby to put this Convention before the Parliament of this country.
Petition:
We the undersigned call on the Trinidad and Tobago Government to take the necessary action to ratify C189 Domestic Workers Convention 2011 which gives all low income workers the right to join a Union.

Any citizen of Trinidad and Tobago can support this petition initiative.
